We focus on techniques from the following styles:
These skills are essential for anyone interested in fighting in MMA events but they are also essential for anyone interested in learning to defend themselves. You do not have to be interested in fighting in MMA events or even fighting in class (sparring) to participate in our MMA class. We have students of all skill levels that come to the class for many different reasons. We have some students that are very dedicated to being successful MMA fighters and train every day, in fact, multiple times a day. We have other students who come to the class for the fitness and self defense benefits. Everyone is welcome and will feel comfortable.
- MuayThai Kick Boxing/Boxing– By learning techniques from Muay Thai and boxing you will learn to hit harder and strike with more accuracy. You’ll learn to protect yourself effectively, while learning how to attack with maximum efficiency.
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – Ground fighting is a key component of MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most effective form of ground fighting. By learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu you will learn how to protect yourself on the ground, as well as how to attack your opponent with submissions.
- Wrestling – The focus of wrestling is to be able to take your opponent to the ground and control him or to be able to prevent him from taking you to the ground. By developing these skills you will have the ability to decide whether the fight takes place while you are standing or while you are on the ground.
- Judo – Judo is based on the principle of using one’s strength against them and adapting well to changing circumstances. By learning Judo you will learn how to control a fight from a clinched position and learn how to employ dynamic throws and take downs.
